There is no teacher
Who can teach anything new
He can just help us to remember
The things we always knew

My Students Say:

I have been taking art classes at Liba Art Studio for five years now. The experience I have gained from these lessons has been unparalleled. Liba is an extremely talented artist who is very experienced and educated in a variety of styles, media and techniques, and is eager to pass on her knowledge to her students. Liba provides excellent one on one teaching while in a group atmosphere, creating an environment that is very conducive to creative exploration. I have had the opportunity to experiment with a variety of styles, media and subjects, and that has allowed me to personally develop my own style, and also caused me to gain a respect and understanding of a wide range of artistic expression. Specifically Liba has helped my understanding of color, color mixing and composition, and also she has helped me to refine techniques such as brush strokes and blending. The experience and education I have had at Liba Art Studio surpasses any other art teaching I have had, and more than anything it has given me an irreplaceable foundation for future artistic endeavors.

My name is Savia Shah and I started studying art with Liba 2 years ago. Within those few years Liba became a mentor and a friend for me. I was only a beginner and viewed art as a hobby in my life but Liba's love and passion for art was passed down to me with each class. Her encouragement changed my life and now I am studying art at the University level. Liba's personality and lessons will always be valued by me.

Liba, I would like to thank you on behalf of my son Mason and Myself, for your incredible patience and art teaching ability. I personally train adults and I therefore recognize the challenges that come with the territory. I see you with teenagers and with small children and your unique
talent of adjusting your teaching style to all ages is impressive to say the least. Your ability to get us to do our best, while learning new and challenging skills each week, is an art form itself.
I have been taking your classes for 2 years now...you have instilled me with confidence and inspired me in my way of thinking and seeing things around me each day.
Kevin Stanley

Liba was a big help in developing my artistic ability, with helpful teaching and informative hints and tips. The projects that I worked on during the classes helped to prepare a portfolio while teaching various fundamentals. Having a qualified approachable teacher such as Liba has helped me a lot in working with and trying different mediums."

Drawing
The history of drawing may be as old as the human race itself. As children we all draw-yet the older we become, the more we seem to ignore the significance of drawing as a vital source of communication and pleasure. Drawing is perhaps the most direct of the arts, with an immediacy that allows us to record instantly what we see. Anyone can learn to draw if they adopt the right approach. Just as with any other subject, practice is essential for achieving good results.* Students in my classes will have an opportunity to learn various drawing techniques through different themes and experience variety of drawing mediums.

Painting
The history of painting is an ongoing river of creativity, that continues into the 21st century. It reaches back in time to artifacts from pre-historic humans and spans and cultures. Until the early 20 century it relied primarily on representational, religious and classical motifs, after which time more purely abstract and conceptual approaches gained favor.* Students can choose which painting medium he/she would like to study. He/she will be encouraged to learn variety of painting techniques and styles in chosen medium with use of different themes (still life, landscape, figurative work, portraits, abstract) Every student will have an opportunity to gather knowledge and learn how to use all painting mediums upon the request.

Collage
Collage is a collaborative art-a combination of one’s creative vision and whatever images appeal to it. Collage has almost universal appeal to artists who constantly search for other means to add more excitement to their work for different ways of being creative. Collage, more than any art medium, offers myriad opportunities for invention and innovation.Collage can be as simple or complicated as one likes. Anyone can do it.It won’t cost much , one can start with simple, discarded materials.*
I will give my students useful tips and feedback about materials, themes and how to unify composition and colors.

Clay
Clay is a naturally occurring material composed primarily of fine-grained minerals, which show plasticity through a variable range of water content, and which can be hardened when dried or fired.*
Students will learn to create 3 dimensional art pieces in various themes with air dried clay . Student will also have an option to paint and decorate their finished art work.
