Drawing
The
history of drawing may be as old as the human race itself. As children
we all draw-yet the older we become, the more we seem to ignore the
significance of drawing as a vital source of communication and
pleasure. Drawing is perhaps the most direct of the arts, with an
immediacy that allows us to record instantly what we see. Anyone can
learn to draw if they adopt the right approach. Just as with any other
subject, practice is essential for achieving good results.* Students in
my classes will have an opportunity to learn various drawing techniques
through different themes and experience variety of drawing mediums.
Painting
The
history of painting is an ongoing river of creativity, that continues
into the 21st century. It reaches back in time to artifacts from
pre-historic humans and spans and cultures. Until the early 20 century
it relied primarily on representational, religious and classical
motifs, after which time more purely abstract and conceptual approaches
gained favor.* Students can choose which painting medium he/she would
like to study. He/she will be encouraged to learn variety of painting
techniques and styles in chosen medium with use of different themes
(still life, landscape, figurative work, portraits, abstract) Every
student will have an opportunity to gather knowledge and learn how to
use all painting mediums upon the request.
Collage
Collage
is a collaborative art-a combination of one’s creative vision and
whatever images appeal to it. Collage has almost universal appeal to
artists who constantly search for other means to add more excitement to
their work for different ways of being creative. Collage, more than any
art medium, offers myriad opportunities for invention and
innovation.Collage can be as simple or complicated as one likes. Anyone
can do it.It won’t cost much , one can start with simple, discarded
materials.*
I will give my students useful tips and feedback about materials, themes and how to unify composition and colors.
Clay
Clay
is a naturally occurring material composed primarily of fine-grained
minerals, which show plasticity through a variable range of water
content, and which can be hardened when dried or fired.*
Students
will learn to create 3 dimensional art pieces in various themes with
air dried clay . Student will also have an option to paint and decorate
their finished art work.
