We are hiding something mysterious in ourselves. Something which is impossible to find logically. Scientists try to brake down the code of humanity logical way.
I believe that artists are much closer to the light of truth when they try to keep this mysterious world untouched.
William Blake

Liba Labik (Liba) comes from the Czech Republic, formerly 4th century Bohemia.

Liba arrived in Canada in 1993. She studied at the Bow Valley College (Artstream Program) and at ACAD Calgary. Liba graduated in 2002 with President's Honor and BFA from painting. Since her graduation,  Liba makes living as a freelance artist.

She gathered inspiration for her future art works especially during the work for Podyji National Park. Liba perceives her former career of an environmentalist as inevitable and important in shaping her choice of subjects for her art work.

The most important aspects of her work are hands, nature, time and space.

She says:
"In common sense, people can move in all directions in space, but cannot walk back into the past.  In fact, it is the very power of art that contains the duality of time and space concept and makes the paradox possible. It implies a possibility to travel over times and spaces and "exercise imagination". You just have to close your eyes." *
